
The UCLA Ziman Center for Real Estate is a joint center of UCLA Anderson School of Management and UCLA School of Law. In 2000, John Long formed and founded the UCLA Real Estate Center to advance thought leadership in the field of real estate by generating influential research, educating the next generation of leaders, and providing meaningful forums for industry professionals and policymakers. Mr. Long is also on the Board of Visitors at the Anderson School of Management at UCLA, as well as being on UCLA's Board of Governors.

The John S. and Marilyn Long U.S.- China Institute for Business and Law at UC Irvine was created in 2010 to foster a greater understanding through research, education, and outreach, resulting in more positive and mutually beneficial economic relations between the two nations.
